You're the only one on RUclips that I've seen who reacted to the director's cut instead of the theatrical. In most ways, the DC is better. You explicitly see that the T1000 was damaged after being freeze-shattered. That's why it tried to force Sarah to call John. It didn't trust its mimicry. And that's how John recognized it. However, the DC changes the ending. In the theatrical, it doesn't say Judgment Day never occurred, and it doesn't depict Sarah becoming a grandmother. The subsequent sequels follow the theatrical cut's ending.

At the beginning: why were the police chasing him? Maybe because two or three guys had been murdered not that far away, and one of them had his heart pulled out and crushed. That would make police edgy.

Clubbing in 90' and early 2000' was the golden time of raving. 😁

Because of the memories I had of specific parts, as a child this movie traumatised me to my very soul. I flat out refused to watch it as an adult. It had really stuck with me. Every time I crept up the stairs to go to bed, I felt the same fear that guy had in the subway. Hearing the faintest noise. Always looking over my shoulder, then running the rest of the way. Not being able to sleep because I was seeing things in the darkness of my bedroom. In 2003, I bought it on dvd when I was 22/23 and told myself to give it a go. Forced myself really. It's not like I didn't think it was good. I just couldn't enjoy it in any meaningful way, or view it as "good". So, anyways, I got a few childhood flashbacks instantly after turning it on. Especially with the DVD's main menu being that PTSD triggering, blood curdling howl. To my surprise, after only a few minutes, I not only related to the characters more, I got that goofy, schlocky humour that totally (and naturally) escaped me as a child. I was so surprised that I was enjoying it as much as I was. I must have been so trapped in that little boys scary imagination for so long... but now I was out from underneath it. Absolutely no problem watching it ever since (... I think therapists would call that a successful example of 'Exposure Therapy' 😅😂) One of my favourite go-to movies now when I want to see amazing practical effects and have some fun! Ha... FUN? Imagine that! Child me: ... "What the HELL is wrong with you?!?"
